US Election: Trump makes clean sweep in all swing states with victory in Arizona – Top News Bulletin

Washington: Donald Trump, who achieved a historic victory in the US presidential elections, also hoisted the victory flag in the state of Arizona on Saturday. With this victory, he has defeated his Democratic Party rival Kamala Harris in all seven major swing states. The seven major swing states in this election were Arizona, Nevada, Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and Georgia. Trump has made a clean sweep in all these 7 states. Also, many states have been snatched away from Joe Biden.

Now with the victory in Arizona, Trump's number of 'electoral votes' has reached 312. Whereas outgoing Vice President Kamala Harris has received only 226 electoral votes so far. Let us tell you that there are 11 electoral votes in the state of Arizona. With a clean sweep of all states, the Republican Party has regained control of the Senate and is set to retain its majority in the House of Representatives. Currently, the party has 52 seats in the Senate. While the Democrats have 47 seats. In the House of Representatives, Republicans have so far secured 216 seats as against 209 seats of the Democrats. The majority figure is 218. Republicans are confident they will get the seats needed for a majority.

Biden won here including Arizona in 2020

In the year 2020, outgoing President Joe Biden had won in Arizona. He became the second Democrat to win from Arizona after Bill Clinton in 1996. During the election campaign, Trump talked about the issues of border security, immigration and crimes committed by illegal immigrants. Trump had pledged to send illegal refugees back to their country. Arizona is the sixth state that Trump has wrested from Biden, where he had won in 2020. Apart from this, Trump has also snatched away Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin from Joe Biden this year. Earlier in 2020, Biden had won here. Trump has also won in North Carolina. Trump will be sworn in as the 47th President of America on January 20. (Language)
