Moscow: Ukraine has fired missiles at Russia in a strong counterattack. Ukraine fired six US-made ATAC missiles at Russia's Bryansk region on Monday night. Russia's Defense Ministry said in a statement on Tuesday that Russian forces shot down five of the missiles, while causing serious damage to another missile. The ministry said fragments of the missile fell on the premises of a military installation. He said that falling missile debris caused a fire, but there was no loss of life or property.
attacks will continue
This attack has been carried out at a time when Washington has lifted the ban imposed on Ukraine from using US-made long-range missiles to target Russia. However, Ukraine did not immediately confirm the use of ATACM missiles in the attack on the Bryansk region. Earlier in the day, Ukraine's army chief said Ukrainian forces had attacked the armory of the 1046th Logistic Support Center in the Karachev area of Russia's Bryansk region. He had said that the sound of several explosions was heard in the area of the attack. The army chief had said, “Attacks on weapons depots of Russian forces will continue to end Russia's aggression against Ukraine.”
