On the attack on the Brampton Hindu temple and the beating of people there, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has said that the incidents of violence at the Hindu Sabha temple in Brampton are unacceptable. Trudeau has said that every person in Canada has the right to practice their faith freely and safely. Justin Trudeau further thanked Peel Regional Police for protecting the community and responding quickly to the investigation of this incident.

What did the Indian Embassy say?

The Indian Embassy located in Ottawa, the capital of Canada, has also given a statement on this entire incident. The Embassy said that we have witnessed a violent incident by anti-India elements outside the consular camp co-organized with the Hindu Sabha Mandir, Brampton. The Embassy said that it is deeply disappointing to see such disruption in the regular consular functions being organized by our Consulates with the full cooperation of local co-organizers. The embassy said that we are also very concerned about the safety of the applicants, including Indian citizens. Despite such attempts by anti-India elements, the Consulate managed to issue more than 1000 life certificates to Indian and Canadian applicants.
