Rome: A stolen item of former British Prime Minister Winston Churchill has now been found and will be brought back soon. Security agencies were shocked by this theft and were looking for the stolen item for a long time. Now they have succeeded in recovering it. It is being told that this was stolen from a hotel in Canada and the police were worried about its recovery. Now its recovery has brought relief.

Let us tell you that a painting of Winston Churchill 'The Roaring Lion' was stolen. It was found in Italy after a search of two years, and was handed over to the Canadian Ambassador on Thursday. Canadian and Italian authorities gave this information. The Italian paramilitary police handed over this picture of Churchill to Canadian Ambassador Elissa Goldberg at a ceremony held at the Canadian Embassy in Rome. Elissa appreciated the cooperation made by Italian and Canadian investigators to find the picture.

The photo was taken in 1941

This photo of Churchill was taken by Ottawa photographer Yousuf Karsh in 1941, but it was stolen from the Fairmont Chateau Laurier hotel in Ottawa. Canadian police said the photo was stolen from the hotel sometime between Christmas 2021 and January 6, 2022, and replaced with a fake picture. Police have arrested a 43-year-old man from Powassan, Ontario, and charged him with stealing and smuggling the picture. (AP)
