Peshawar: The matter of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) sending invitation to Indian Foreign Minister S Jaishankar to join the protest against the Pakistan government has gained momentum. After inviting Jaishankar to join the protests against the Pakistan government, now former Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan's party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has distanced itself from the statement given by a party leader.

The party has said that no other country has any role in its political struggle. PTI Chairman Barrister Gauhar Ali Khan on Saturday said that Khan's party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) ruled Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province's Information Advisor to Chief Minister Muhammad Ali Saif's remarks were taken out of context. Saif had said the party was planning to 'invite' Jaishankar to join its protest here, a statement that drew a sharp reaction from the ruling coalition.

Let us tell you that in response to a question on Saturday, Saif said in a sarcastic tone, “PTI will invite India's Foreign Minister Jaishankar to come and join the party's protest. Talk to our people and see that Pakistan has a strong democracy, where everyone has the right to protest.” Barrister Gauhar Khan said that Pakistan's 70-year-old policy towards India is the backbone of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf. He said, “Peaceful protest is our constitutional right. No foreign dignitary, including from India, has been invited by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf to join the protest.

No foreign dignitary is allowed to make any comment on our internal affairs.'' He said the party's conflict was an internal issue in which Jaishankar had no involvement and said Saif's statement had given a wrong impression that The party invited an Indian minister to join the party's demonstration.
