'Now we will neither hurry nor delay', Iran's Supreme Leader warns Israel – Top News Bulletin

Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has issued an open warning to Israel and said that now we will neither delay nor hurry. Khamenei appeared publicly on Friday for the first time since Iran's missile attack on Israel, calling Iran's attack a legitimate punishment for Israel's crimes and calling for the anti-Israel conflict to continue. Delivering his first Friday prayer sermon in nearly five years, Khamenei said Israel's opponents should “double their efforts and capabilities now… and resist the aggressive enemy”. What Khamenei said now is like adding fuel to the fire.

Khamenei gave statement in Arabic and Persian

Speaking alternately in Arabic and Persian, Khamenei praised Nasrallah, Iran's top paramilitary ally in the region, and said the US and its allies' focus was on preserving Israel's security rather than seizing the region's resources.

Khamenei said, “Our resistant people in Lebanon and Palestine, all these testimonies and shed blood will not shake your will, but will strengthen your determination.” Khamenei said, “Israel pretends to win through assassinations, destruction, bombings and killing of civilians. This behavior increases the motivation of resistance. This reality shows us that any attack launched by any group against Israel Every attack is a service to the region and to all humanity.”

As he spoke, Khamenei's hand occasionally grasped the barrel of the rifle parked to his left, a tradition that leaders of Friday prayers across the country have been following for decades. Khamenei said Tuesday Iran's attack on Israel was “legal and legitimate” and the minimum punishment for what he called Israel's crimes. Khamenei told the large crowd that Iran “will neither delay nor rush to fulfill its duty” in confronting Israel.

Let us tell you that Iran had fired missiles against Israel on Tuesday in retaliation for the assassination of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah in Beirut on September 27 and the assassination of Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran in July. Iran has blamed Israel for Haniyeh's murder. Israeli officials have not claimed responsibility.
