Balochistan: Information about a massive bomb blast is coming to light in Pakistan's troubled province of Balochistan. At least 20 people have died in this incident. While more than 30 people have been injured. This bomb blast took place near the railway station of Quetta, Balochistan. Initial reports indicate that the blast occurred at the booking office of the railway station just before the train reached the platform. The crowd at the station was normal at the time of the blast. Despite this, there is a risk of more casualties.
On receiving information about the blast, police and rescue workers reached the blast site. Emergency was imposed at the Civil Hospital in Quetta and additional doctors and paramedics were called in to treat the injured. According to railway officials, the Jafar Express was scheduled to leave for Peshawar at 9 am. Officials said the train had not reached the platform when the explosion occurred. The death toll from the blast may increase as many of the injured are in critical condition.
Acting President condemned the incident
Acting President Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani condemned the deadly incident, saying terrorists were enemies of humanity who targeted innocent people. Geelani reiterated his resolve to take every possible step to completely destroy terrorism. Meanwhile, Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti has directed the concerned authorities to investigate the fatal incident. The Chief Minister reiterated his resolve to eliminate the menace of terrorism from the province.
