An Israeli citizen has been murdered after being kidnapped in the United Arab Emirates. Rabbi Zvi Kogan, the emissary of Abu Dhabi-based Chabad, was kidnapped in downtown Dubai on Thursday afternoon. Subsequently, on Sunday morning, Emirati authorities recovered Kogan's body and his family was informed. Now Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has expressed both sorrow and anger over this incident. Netanyahu has said that Israel will take every possible action to punish the accused.

The Israeli Prime Minister's Office issued a statement saying that information indicated that the disappearance was a terrorist-related incident. After this, Kogan's body was recovered on Sunday.
Who was Rabbi Zvi Kogan?
Deceased Kogan was originally from Moldova. He worked with Rabbi Levi Deutchman and other Chabad emissaries for many years to establish and expand Jewish life in the UAE. Kogan was instrumental in establishing the first Jewish education center in the Gulf country. After marriage in the year 2022, Kogan's wife Rivki also joined him.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has condemned this entire incident. Benjamin Netanyahu said that the murder was committed in the United Arab Emirates. The murder of an Israeli citizen and Chabad envoy is a criminal anti-Semitic terrorist attack. Netanyahu said Israel would take all possible action and bring the murderers and their masters to justice. However, Netanyahu praised the UAE's cooperation in the investigation of the murder. He said that we will strengthen relations between us while confronting the 'Axis of Evil' (Iran and its faction).
