Cairo: Israeli forces withdrew from a hospital complex in northern Gaza on Saturday. Just a day before, he had targeted this hospital and attacked it. The Palestinian Health Ministry said troops detained dozens of male medical staff and some patients. Palestinian official news agency WAFA later said at least 30 people were killed in Israeli attacks on several homes in Beit Lahiya in northern Gaza. There was no official confirmation of the death toll from the Health Ministry.
precision attack with precision weapons
The Israeli military said it has carried out a precision strike using precision weapons on Hamas militants inside a building in the Beit Lahiya area of the Gaza Strip. Many terrorists have been killed in this attack. The Israeli Army also said that the large number of casualties and weapons used in media reports do not match the reality. Health officials said Friday that Israeli forces attacked Kamal Adwan Hospital, one of three medical facilities struggling to function in the region.
Many buildings damaged in the attack
Footage broadcast by the Health Ministry showed damage to several buildings after Israeli forces withdrew. At least 44 of the 70-member hospital team were detained by the army. The army later said it had released 14 of them, including the hospital director. An Israeli military spokesman declined to comment on the hospital report. On Friday, the Israeli military said it carried out the operation in the area of the hospital based on intelligence “regarding the presence of terrorists and terrorist infrastructure.”
Two children died in the ICU of the hospital
Doctors at a Gaza hospital said at least two children died inside the ICU after Israeli shelling as well as an attack on a generator and oxygen station on Friday. Medical staff refused to obey Israeli military orders to evacuate the hospital or leave their patients alone. Doctors said that before the Israeli army raid, there were at least 600 people in the hospital, including patients and their attendants. “The safety and lives of patients left inside Kamal Adwan Hospital without medical staff and much-needed medicines are now at risk,” said Marwan al-Hams of the Health Ministry.
