Uproar over arrest of ISKCON chief priest
In view of Chinmoy Krishna Das and recent circumstances, ISKCON Bangladesh has issued a statement regarding some facts. The statement said, 'Strongly condemns the arrest of Chinmoy Krishna Das. Das is the spokesperson of Bangladesh Samhito Sanatani Jagran Jot. Our demand from the government officials is that people of Sanatan Dharma should be allowed to live peacefully. The statement further said that Chinmoy Krishna Das has always been advocating the minorities of Bangladesh. It is important to uphold their rights and embolden others to support free speech and their actions.

ISKCON said that Chinmoy Krishna Das and people of Sanatan Dharma have the right to justice as citizens of Bangladesh. Any discrimination against us will not be tolerated. Let us tell you that during this period ISKCON Bangladesh made three demands from the Government of Bangladesh. On the arrest of Sri Chinmoy Krishna Das, ISKCON tweeted – “We have received disturbing news that Sri Chinmoy Krishna Das, one of the prominent leaders of ISKCON Bangladesh, has been detained by the Dhaka Police. ISKCON is not working anywhere in the world. It has nothing to do with terrorism. Making baseless allegations about this is insulting.”
