It is being told that people from a gang attacked the city of Pont Sonde in the early hours of Thursday. During this period, more than 20 people including many children were killed and 50 people were injured. A human rights organization gave this information.
Bertide Hares, spokeswoman for the Commission for Dialogue, Reconciliation and Awareness, said members of the Gran Griffe gang attacked the town of Pont-Sonde and set fire to homes and cars, killing at least 20 people and injuring 50. “Many people fled the area,” he told Radio Kiskeya. A video shared on social media showed a group of people running through bushes, including a woman gasping for breath. And she is saying, “Where to go?”
More than 100 members are involved in the gang
In another video, a large number of people are seen running on the road after hearing about the arrival of the gang. Hares and others criticized police in the nearby coastal city of Saint-Marc, saying they did nothing to help people during the attack in Pont-Sonde.
