Beijing/Shenzhen: Information about a major accident at a railway construction site in China is coming to light. According to the workers, suddenly a large part of the land started sinking while they were working. Before the workers could recover, it quickly fell on them. Some workers managed to escape, but 13 workers have gone missing after being hit by the ground. Officials gave this information on Thursday. State news agency 'Xinhua' quoted local officials as saying that the landslide occurred at about 11 pm on Wednesday at the construction site of a section of the Shenzhen-Jiangmen railway in Shenzhen's Bao'an district.
Relief and rescue operation continues
After the incident, relief and rescue teams have started their operation. The missing people are being searched. According to the news agency 'Xinhua', nearby houses have been evacuated and traffic has been temporarily stopped near the incident site. The causes of the accident are also being investigated.
