Curfew imposed in Sri Lanka after presidential election, know the whole matter – Top News Bulletin


Colombo: A sudden curfew has been imposed in Sri Lanka after the presidential election. This has created a stir in the whole country. Sri Lankan police said that as a precautionary measure to prevent any untoward incident, curfew has been imposed from 10 pm tonight to 6 am on Sunday. Current President Ranil Wickremesinghe issued a gazette imposing the curfew order. The curfew was announced when the votes were being counted. However, the results have not been announced yet. But during this time, the situation is expected to worsen.


Election results may be declared on Sunday

The election results in Sri Lanka are expected to be declared by Sunday. Let us tell you that 116 representatives of various international election monitoring organizations have reached Sri Lanka to monitor the presidential election. 78 of the observers are from the European Union i.e. EU. The EU has previously monitored elections in Sri Lanka 6 times. Sri Lanka's current President Ranil Wickremesinghe is contesting the election as an independent candidate on the basis of the success of his efforts to bring the country out of the economic crisis. Many experts have praised 75-year-old Wickremesinghe for this.
