BRICS Summit 2024: The BRICS summit will be held in Kazan city of Russia on 23 and 24 October. PM Narendra Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin met before the BRICS Summit in Kazan. During this, both the leaders met each other warmly. PM Modi shook hands with Putin and then hugged him. After this there were talks between the two leaders on bilateral issues. During the talks, PM Modi also mentioned the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
Relations between India and Russia strengthened
During bilateral talks with Putin, PM Narendra Modi thanked Russia for its warm hospitality. He mentioned India's historical relations with the city of Kazan and informed that India is opening a new Consulate in Kazan. PM Modi said that during the last few months I have come to Russia for the second time. I met President Putin in Moscow in July this year. This warmth reflects the deep relations between the two countries. Relations between India and Russia have become stronger.
