Peshawar: A speeding vehicle suddenly lost balance and fell into a ditch in north-west Pakistan on Saturday. Due to this, at least 7 people aboard died. While six others have been injured. Police said that the accident occurred in Buner district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province when the brakes of the vehicle failed and it went out of control and fell into the ditch. Police and rescue officials immediately reached the spot and took the injured to the nearest hospital for treatment.
On the other hand, another accident took place in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Saturday. It is being told that in this province, some unknown gunmen started ambushing two different convoys of security forces. This created a stir among the security forces. 16 soldiers including an officer were injured in this attack by gunmen. All the injured have been admitted to the hospital.
Attack in Waziristan
Pakistani officials said gunmen attacked a convoy of security forces in the Sarwekai area of South Waziristan district, injuring 11 security personnel. An officer of Captain rank is also included among the injured. Another attack took place near the Darra Tung check post in Lakki Marwat district when the convoy was moving from Karak district to a nuclear power project site in Kabul Khel, he said. Five soldiers were injured in this attack. Thus, a total of 16 soldiers have been injured in two separate attacks. The gunmen fled after the attack. (Language)
