Beijing: A 62-year-old man drove a car into a group of people in Zhuhai, China. 35 people died due to this. While 43 others have been injured. Thirty-five people were killed and 43 others were injured when a car plowed into a group of people outside a sports center in China's southern city of Zhuhai on Monday evening, Chinese state television CCTV reported on Tuesday.
It is being told that the suspect who carried out the incident was a 62-year-old divorced man, who rammed his car into the crowd. The suspect was trying to harm himself before using the knife. Then the police caught him on the spot. The suspect was sent to a hospital for treatment, according to a statement issued by Zhuhai police on Tuesday. It was not immediately clear whether it was an attack or an accident. No motive was mentioned and police said the investigation was ongoing.
Dead bodies scattered on the road within minutes
Due to this shocking incident in China, dead bodies were visible far and wide on the roads. A large number of people died on the spot.
