Hyderabad City: In view of the final immersion of Ganesh idols, wine and liquor shops and bars will remain closed in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad from 6 am on September 17 to 6 pm on September 18. Hyderabad Police Commissioner CV Anand has issued an order regarding the closure of liquor outlets.
Bars attached to restaurants (excluding bars in Star Hotels and registered clubs) within the Twin Cities will also not be permitted, the order said.
“All police officers and additional inspectors of police stations in the city of Hyderabad are hereby authorized to take appropriate legal action against those found violating this notification,” the order added.
