The special team of Barmer district and the team of women police station have succeeded in arresting the accused Sunil Kumar Vishnoi, son of Babulal, resident of Daval Sangadawa, Police Station Chitalwana, District Sanchore, who was absconding for about 2 months in the case of gang rape by blackmailing a minor by threatening to make the video viral, from Rajkot, Gujarat.
SP Narendra Singh Meena said that a case was registered in the women's police station against the arrested accused Sunil Kumar Bishnoi and others on August 1, 2024 for gang-raping a minor by blackmailing and threatening to make the video viral on social media. Accused Sunil Kumar was absconding since the time of the incident.
SP Meena said that even after many efforts, the accused was not arrested, so taking the matter seriously, he formed a special team under the leadership of in-charge DST Vikram Singh and Head Constable Sawai Ram from Mahila Police Station and directed to arrest the accused. With the help of intelligence gathering and technical support, the formed team has succeeded in arresting the accused Sunil Kumar Vishnoi from Gandhigram Police Station area in Rajkot district. DST constable Gopal Jani played a special role in the arrest of the accused.
