While taking action under Operation Antivirus, the team of Pratapgarh and Govindgarh police station of the district arrested four cyber thugs and seized 6 mobiles and two registers used in the fraud. The arrested accused used to cheat on social media apps by providing cheap shoes and other goods and through sextortion.
SP Sanjeev Nain told that under the antivirus campaign being run against cyber fraud, the team of Pratapgarh and Govindgarh police station under the leadership of ASP Dr. Tejpal Singh and DSP Traffic Mukesh Chaudhary raided the cyber fraud affected villages and registered 02 cases. 04 accused have been arrested.
With the help of intelligence system and technical means, the team formed under the leadership of SHO Pratapgarh Mukesh Kumar Meena raided a house on Thanagaji Road Pratapgarh bus stand and committed online fraud by posting advertisements of selling branded shoes and other goods at cheap prices on various social media applications. Three accused were arrested and five mobile phones were seized.
The arrested accused are Indraj Meena son of Arjun Lal (25) and Ram Prasad Meena son of Matadin (20) of Agar police station Pratapgarh Alwar and Abhishek alias Ravi Meena son of Ramgopal (24) of Ramiya Wala police station Audhi Jaipur Rural.
SHO Govindgarh Neki Ram Mai team raided village Harsauli and arrested the accused, Sahun Khan son of Ismail Meo (34), resident of Harsauli police station Govindgarh Alwar, who blackmailed money by threatening to make the video viral on social media by doing sextortion and an android used in the incident. Mobile has been confiscated.
