Lucknow . Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission has taken a big decision regarding the PCS (Preliminary) examination of 2024. Now this examination will be conducted on the same day, i.e. on 22 December 2024. The Commission had earlier proposed to conduct this examination in two days, but this decision has been changed after the protests by students and protests in Prayagraj.
A press release issued by the Commission on Friday informed that earlier the PCS preliminary exam was scheduled to be held on 7 and 8 December 2024, but now it will be conducted in two sessions on the same day on 22 December. The first session will be from 9:30 am to 11:30 am and the second session will be from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm.
Students are satisfied with this decision. He was angry with the announcement of holding the examination for the first two days and even protested on the streets.
According to sources, the Commission has also constituted a committee regarding the process of RO (Revenue Officer) and ARO (Assistant Revenue Officer) examination. This committee will work to organize the entire process of examination, thereby providing transparency in the examination and better experience to the students.
Let us tell you that the Commission has taken this decision after the protest of students in Prayagraj. Students said that dividing the exam into two days was causing them immense stress and difficulty. Moreover, students were finding the time between the two sessions in a day too long. In view of this protest, UPPSC, understanding the problems of the students, decided to conduct the examination in one day.
