Two arrested for giving false report: Reported theft of 10 lakh cash and 18 tola gold jewellery from the house

Churu. The police team of Hamirwas police station of Churu district has arrested complainant Narendra Jat son of Mansingh and his brother Rambir resident of village Bhaankra police station Hamirwas for filing a false report of theft. The accused had made up the story due to fear of people and to repay the loan after taking a loan of 50 lakhs.

SP Jai Yadav said that on Tuesday, when Narendra Jat, a resident of Bhaankara village, informed the police control room about a theft in his house by an unknown person, ASI Mahendra Singh from Hamirwas police station along with his team reached the spot. Narendra gave a report that last night an unknown person entered his house and stole more than 10 lakh rupees in cash kept in an iron box and about 18 tolas of gold jewellery kept in another box.

SHO Madan Lal Vishnoi, ASI Mahendra Singh, Intelligence Officer Vijaypal closely inspected the crime scene and analysed the circumstantial evidence. When the case seemed suspicious, the reporter Narendra and his elder brother Rambir were called to the police station and arrested after being questioned separately.

During interrogation, he told that he had a loan of about 50 lakh rupees on his pickup vehicle, tractor loan and other people. Due to this, we sold our Fortuner car for about 2324 lakh rupees. Out of the said amount, we spent about 10 lakh rupees in repaying the loans of the people. Out of the remaining amount, Narendra spent about 810 lakh rupees in online betting on gaming apps. Due to this, fearing the remaining loans of the people, we have submitted a false report of theft of 10 lakh rupees and gold and silver ornaments from our house.
