Tired of Mahalakshmi's behavior, he cut her into 59 pieces; The killer's suicide note revealed

Bengaluru. A heartbreaking crime has taken place in Bengaluru city. A 26yearold woman Mahalakshmi was murdered here. The killer cut her body into 59 pieces and kept those pieces in a fridge. The suspected killer has given this information in a note written before his death. He committed this brutal crime because he was fed up with Mahalakshmi's behavior.

The police have recovered a suicide note written by Mukti Ranjan Roy, a colleague of the victim Mahalakshmi. In this note, he has confessed to the horrific crime that shook the city of Bengaluru.

Sources said the suicide note was written in his diary. The accused had written in his diary, “I have killed my girlfriend Mahalakshmi on September 3.”

Sources said he also wrote in the note that he had gone to her house and killed her on September 3. “I was fed up with her behaviour. I quarrelled with her over personal matters and Mahalakshmi attacked me. Enraged by her act, I killed her,” he had said.

“After killing her, I cut her body into 59 pieces and put them in the refrigerator,” he wrote in the diary.

The police were gathering information about the killer Mukti Ranjan Roy when they found this note. Roy committed suicide by hanging himself on Wednesday. He was found hanging from a tree in a village in Odisha's Bhadrak district.

“The suspected killer reached Pandi village on Wednesday and stayed at home. He left home on a twowheeler. His body was found by locals,” police sources said.

Mukti Ranjan was missing since the murder incident. Karnataka police had sent four teams to Odisha to search for him. The suspected killer had stopped coming to work from September 1. Mahalakshmi's last day at work was also on September 1.

Police said the suspected killer was the head of the team where Mahalakshmi worked. The murder came to light last Saturday when neighbours noticed a foul smell coming from Mahalakshmi's house for two days and informed her family.

Police said Mahalakshmi's mother and sister reached her house on Saturday and saw this horrific scene. Mahalakshmi was murdered, her body was cut into several pieces and kept in the fridge.

Though the refrigerator was on, the body was infested with insects. A suitcase was found near the refrigerator. Police suspect that Mahalakshmi was murdered earlier in the month and her body was cut into pieces with a sharp weapon like a knife.

Mahalakshmi, a resident of Tripura, worked in a famous mall in Bengaluru. According to people in the area where Mahalakshmi was living for the last five months, she lived alone and did not mingle much with her neighbours. Her brother stayed with her for a few days. The police have also found out that she was married and had a child, but she lived separately.
