Churu. Kotwali police station of Churu district has arrested four female accused of gang involved in theft by diverting attention in jewelery showroom – Bhetri alias Bhateri wife of Kartar Singh Bawri (67), Lakshmi Bawri wife of Jitendra Kumar (33), Rajbai Bawri wife of Lakhmi Chand (39) resident of Police station Ratia district Fatehabad Haryana and Ms. Anita Chauhan daughter of Ramu Bawri (22) resident of ward number 24 police station Rawatsar district Hanumangarh have been arrested.
SP Jai Yadav said that in connection with the incident, on Sunday, October 13, Farukh Lohar, a resident of Kotwali police station, reported that he had a jewelery shop named Kedi Jewelers near the White Clock Tower. On the afternoon of October 10, four women came to his shop and asked to show him artificial earrings and gold nose hooks. In a tray he showed artificial earrings and gold nose hooks. While engaging in conversation, all four stole 8 nose hooks and an artificial earring kept in the tray and went away saying that they did not like the items. A case was registered on the report and investigation was started by Head Constable Subhash Chandra.
SP Yadav said that under the supervision of Additional Superintendent of Police Lokendra Dadarwal and CO Sunil Kumar Jhajhadia, a special team was formed from the police station to investigate the theft incident. The formed team kept an eye on bus stands and crowded places. On the information of the informer, four women accused in the case were detained from Rajgarh town and arrested after interrogation.
Stolen goods, eight gold hooks and one earring have been recovered from the arrested female accused. The police team is thoroughly interrogating the remaining members of his gang and in connection with other incidents.
