Barmer. The team of Mahila Thana Police of Barmer district has succeeded in arresting the accused Mohan Ram alias Mohan Singh, son of Jaggu Ram, resident of Bhurtiya Police Station Nagana, who was absconding for 16 months in the case of gang rape of a minor and making the video viral.
SP Narendra Singh Meena said that on May 29, 2023, a case was registered by the family of the victim minor against the accused Hiraram, Mohan Ram alias Mohan Singh and Tagaram for raping the minor by threatening her by entering the house and making an obscene video and making it viral. The accused Mohan Ram was absconding since the time of the incident. He was selected in the top ten at the police station level and was being searched.
SP Meena said that for the arrest of the accused who was absconding for a long time, a team was formed under the supervision of Additional Superintendent of Police, Women Crime and SHO Women Police Station Somkaran and on the basis of intelligence gathering and technical assistance, the accused Mohan Ram alias Mohan Singh was arrested from Sajitda village.
