New Delhi . After busting a drugs racket worth Rs 5600 crore in Delhi, the police has issued a look out circular against mastermind Virendra Basoya. Basoya is running a drug business abroad. Recently, Delhi Police busted an international drugs smuggling gang in Mahipalpur and seized a consignment of 562 kg of cocaine and 40 kg of hydroponic marijuana.
During investigation, it was revealed that Basoya had sent the cocaine consignment. Another accused Tushar Goyal has been arrested in this case, who is said to be close to Basoya.
Pune Police had seized drugs worth Rs 3000 crore in 2023, even then Basoya's name had come up.
This time too Basoya's name has emerged as the mastermind of a big international drugs syndicate. Delhi Police is now on the lookout for him, so that he can be brought under the ambit of law and other members of this big network can also be traced.
Let us tell you that Tushar Goyal has been caught by the police in this case. Tushar has been the Chairman of RTI Cell of Delhi Pradesh Congress till 2022. Goyal's Congress background and links to the drugs syndicate have made the matter even more sensitive.
During the interrogation of the Special Cell, Tushar Goyal told that he was the head of the RTI cell of Congress. He has written “RTI Cell Chairman, Delhi Pradesh Congress” on his social media profile. Goyal has also created a profile with the name “Diggy Goyal”. During the investigation, photographs of Goyal with several Congress leaders have also emerged.
The links of this drugs syndicate have been found to be connected to Dubai. Special Cell investigation has revealed the name of a big Dubai businessman, who is a major supplier of cocaine. Mumbai is also connected to this because a large consignment was being sent there also.
The team of Special Cell is now also investigating this angle as to who were the drug users in Mumbai. To which highprofile people was it to be supplied? The Special Cell is trying to reach the root of this international drugs syndicate.
