Jaipur. In a major action, the police raided 9 Bites Cafe in Adarsh Nagar area of Jaipur, where banned tobacco flavored hookah was being served. This step was taken on the instructions of Dr. Tejadhwani Gautam, former Deputy Commissioner of Jaipur Police, who had received a complaint that cafe operators were serving illegal hookah.
The police team raided the cafe located at street number 4 of Rajapark and arrested the cafe employee Aman Panwar on the spot, who was involved in providing hookah. Police seized tobacco flavored hookahs and other equipment from the cafe. Eight men and women who were smoking hookah at the spot were also punished under the COTPA Act and fined from them.
Arrested Aman Panwar, a 21yearold resident of Ajmer, has been taken into custody, while the search for the cafe operator is still on. In this special police action, station incharge Dharam Singh, subinspector Sheela Meena, and many other officers were involved, who successfully carried out the entire raid.
