NSUI announced its candidates for DUSU elections

New Delhi. The National Students Union of India (NSUI) on Friday officially announced its candidates for the Delhi University Students Union (DUSU) elections. With this, the NSUI has expressed confidence that this time they will get a landslide victory in the Delhi University Students Union elections.

NSUI has nominated Raunak Khatri for the post of president in the student union elections. Yash Nandal is the NSUI candidate for the post of vice president. NSUI has fielded Namrata Jeff Meena for the post of secretary. Lokesh Chaudhary has been nominated for the post of joint secretary. All these candidates have filed their nominations.

The official candidates have been announced after the withdrawal process was completed on Friday. Voting for the Delhi University Students Union elections will be held on September 27. The counting of votes and trends of the results will be out the next day on September 28. In the student union elections held last year in 2023, ABVP won three out of four seats in Delhi University.

ABVP performed brilliantly and won the posts of President, Secretary and Joint Secretary. Whereas, NSUI was successful in winning the post of Vice President. In the last 11 years, Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad has won the post of student union president 8 times.

On the other hand, if we talk about NSUI, they have been able to win only 3 times during this period. The last time NSUI won the post of President was in the year 2017. NSUI National President Varun Chaudhary has expressed hope of a 4-0 victory for his organization this time.

He said that the victory of NSUI candidates will bring about a significant change in the political scenario of Delhi University. Varun Chaudhary said that we are confident that this time NSUI will register a 4-0 victory in the Delhi University Students Union elections.

The National Students Union of India will unveil a clear plan of action for the welfare of students. This election is about addressing the real student issues and building a better future for the university. As the Delhi University Students Union elections are approaching, the NSUI and other student organizations are intensifying their preparations for the elections.

Delhi University is mostly a direct contest between the NSUI and the ABVP. The NSUI says it will launch an action plan for student welfare on Saturday. It will take specific steps to improve student experience and ensure transparent, inclusive leadership.
