Noida. During checking late last night, Noida police arrested three criminals of the ThakThak gang, notorious as the Zalim Gang. One of these three criminals was injured by a bullet during the encounter. After interrogating the criminals, one of their associates was also arrested.
This gang targets drivers of vehicles stuck in traffic jams. A person knocks on the glass of the car and makes an excuse of a road accident behind the driver. When the driver gets down and looks, he engages him in conversation, then his companions steal the goods kept in the car.
The police of Sector58 police station was checking near Sector62. During this, the police saw three people coming on a bike. When the police signaled them to stop, they did not stop the bike and started firing at the police team and running away.
The police chased them and retaliated, in which the miscreant Ejaz got injured after being shot in the leg. While his two accomplices Umradaraz and Asim alias Hasim were arrested during combing. The police recovered 6 stolen mobile phones, 1 illegal pistol, 1 live and 1 empty cartridge, and a stolen bike from their possession.
Police said that the arrested accused were questioned. They gave information about one of their associates Khurram, who was arrested from Espam crossing. Police have arrested a total of four miscreants.
During police interrogation, the criminals have told that they commit thefts in places with high traffic in Noida, Delhi and NCR. Last night these people had come to dispose of the stolen goods.
This gang carries out incidents of theft wherever there is a traffic jam in districts like Delhi, Noida, Ghaziabad, Bareilly, Bulandshahr, Aligarh etc. ADCP Manish Mishra has told that the accused Asif alias Hashim alias Laddan, Ejaz, Umradaraz and Khurram have already gone to jail from Meerut.
