Chittorgarh. 135 quintals and 90 kg of illegal doda powder and ganja seized in 14 police stations of Chittorgarh district, after physical verification and decision from the court, were deposited by the District Drug Disposal Committee in the presence of Superintendent of Police Sudhir Joshi on Wednesday in the wonder cement plant of police station Sadar Nimbahera. Was destroyed by burning. The value of the seized illegal drugs is estimated to be around Rs 22 crore.
Superintendent of Police Sudhir Joshi said that the warehouses of 14 police stations in the district were filled to the brim with drugs seized under the NDPS Act, due to which there was a problem of storing other seized items. For the purpose of disposal of goods and keeping the police station clean, a record was prepared by the working system branch of the Superintendent of Police office after receiving proposals regarding disposal of goods from the concerned police station officers.
During this proceeding, it was necessary in the presence of SP Joshi, Additional Superintendent of Police Sarita Singh, DSP Nimbahera Badrilal, Police Inspector Jodharam and Sub Inspector Bhanwarlal Dashora along with the concerned police station officer of 14 police stations, Malkhana incharge, functioning branch incharge ASI Govind Kumar and office staff etc. After matching the records, the drugs were weighed. To ensure that the entire process of weighing and destruction of related drugs was transparent, photography and videography was done during the entire process.
SP Joshi said that in the district, out of total 44 cases registered in 14 police stations of Kotwali Chittorgarh, Kotwali Nimbahera, Sadar Nimbahera, Bhadesar, Bassi, Begun, Parsoli, Kapasan, Badisadri, Nikumbh, Mandafiya, Mangalwad and Shambhupura. In 43 cases, illegal drugs, 135 quintals of 88 kg doda powder and in one case, 02 kg 253 grams of ganja were seized from the possession of smugglers during the action by the district police. In all the above mentioned 44 cases, the illegal drugs seized by the District Drug Disposal Committee Chittorgarh were handed over to officers of Wonder Cement Police Station Sadar Nimbahera, Unit Head Nitin Jain, Security Head Nagendra Singh Chundawat, Deputy Security Officer Devendra Singh Rathod, AFR Head Abhishek Namdev, Admin Incharge Akhilesh Kumar. And in the presence of Senior Manager of Environment Department, Amit Bhardwaj, the Wonder Cement Plant of Sadar Nimbahera was destroyed by burning it in keel on Monday.
