Hyderabad City: In a tweet that has sparked a fresh political debate, Telangana Information Technology Minister KT Rama Rao (KTR) slammed the state’s slide in the Ease of Doing Business (EoDB) rankings, attributing it to the inefficiency of the Congress-led government under Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. KTR highlighted Telangana’s earlier top-notch performance during the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) regime, expressing disappointment that the state has now failed to secure a place in the reformers’ latest EoDB rankings.
However, the fact remains that the rankings KTR is referring to are based on the Business Reforms Action Plan (BRAP) for 2022 when the BRS was in power, leading to accusations that his tweet was misleading.
