The police team of Surauth police station of Karauli district has succeeded in arresting a notorious interstate criminal Gulab Singh alias Gulla resident of Nahariyan Ka Pura Tan Jatwada who committed the crimes of robbery, theft, burglary and chain snatching. The police caught the accused by conducting a search operation in the ravines of Dang area.
SP Brijesh Jyoti Upadhyay said that the arrested criminal Gulab Singh alias Gulla carries out major incidents with the notorious gang of Chambal ravines. He is wanted in a case of robbery registered in Thana Siwana district Barmer on 15 April 2015. In this incident, the accused and seveneight companions entered a house and threatened the people with weapons and looted Rs 7 lakh in cash and jewelry worth Rs 15 lakh.
About twothree months ago, the accused and his accomplice Fatte Singh were caught in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh on the charge of snatching a woman's chain, for which he was jailed for 2 months. He was granted bail on 15 September. The police had received information that the accused was about to commit a major crime in Surauth police station area. Arresting the accused who was hiding in Dholpur and Dang area of Madhya Pradesh was a challenge for the police.
SHO Mahesh Kumar and his team developed the intelligence network. In which information was received about the accused sleeping near the Kyarka temple in the ravines of Tali Dang area. A search operation was conducted on this on Sunday night. But as soon as the police got wind of the accused, he fled from there. With the help of intelligence network and cyber cell, the team blocked the main roads of the ravines and arrested the vicious criminal Gulab Singh alias Gulla.
The arrested criminal Gulab Singh alias Gulla has committed 1520 major incidents of robbery, theft, burglary and chain snatching in Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh besides Rajasthan. He has a permanent warrant in Karauli, Barmer, Nagaur and Jodhpur districts of the state. Constables Amir Singh and Ramsahay of Surauth police station played a special role in his arrest.
