-Fake notes of Rs 5400 and genuine notes of Rs 2150 and an Alto car seized.
Bhilwara. Karoi police station of Bhilwara district caught five people including a minor traveling in an Alto car with Madhya Pradesh number during the blockade on Saturday night and recovered fake notes of Rs 5400 and real notes of Rs 2150. Police arrested car riders Ravi Nigam son of Om Prakash (37) and Harshvardhan Singh son of Gajraj Singh (20), resident of New Bapu Nagar police station Pratapnagar Bhilwara and Pradhuman Singh son of Ranjit Singh (19) and Gautam Singh son of Vikram Singh resident of Bhopur police station Balghat district Karoli. A minor was detained.
SP Dharmendra Singh said that for effective control on criminal activities, under the supervision of Additional Superintendent of Police Roshan Patel and CO Ravindra Pratap Singh, a blockade was done on the National Highway in front of the Tehsil office by the team of SHO Karoi Lakshmi Narayan Gurjar on Saturday night. Meanwhile, constables Vikram and Surendra of the team got information from the informer that five youths traveling in MP number Alto car coming from Gangapur were coming towards Bhilwara via the highway to buy fake currency notes in the market.
SP Singh said that as per the informer's information at around 11:00 pm, a car was seen coming, when signaled to stop, the driver started running away at high speed. The team laid siege and stopped the vehicle with great difficulty. Ravi Nigam, Harshvardhan Singh, Pradhuman Singh, Gautam Singh and a minor were traveling in the car.
When the police searched them, they found 27 fake notes of Rs 200 each, totaling Rs 5400 and genuine notes of Rs 2150. On this, the said amount and the car were seized, all four accused were arrested and the minor was detained. Where did the accused get this note from, where were they taking it and who are the other accomplices. The police are investigating this thoroughly.
