Nalgonda: A fire accident occurred at Sreepathi Labs Private Limited in Gundrampally, Chityal mandal, in the early hours of Friday.
The fire at the pharmaceutical factory is suspected to have been caused by a reactor explosion. The fire sent a thick plume of smoke billowing out of the factory, spreading to the surrounding areas and causing panic among residents of nearby villages.
When the thick smoke reached National Highway No. 65, motorists experienced inconvenience and traffic slowed down in the affected area.
Fortunately, no workers were injured in the fire.
Fire tenders from Chityal and Choutuppal rushed to the spot and worked to control the blaze.
