GaveAfter Pavli, the level of environmental and air pollution has increased significantly in big metropolitan cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad. I do not at all mean that we should not celebrate Diwali, we should definitely celebrate it, celebrate it with full enthusiasm and with full devotion and faith. Diwali is mainly a holy festival of lamps and lights, but in its other aspect, we also have to take care of the pollution caused by indiscriminate bursting of firecrackers and bombs and always make efforts to cure it. Delhi is considered to be the most polluted city in the country and the world, followed by Kolkata and Mumbai. Due to the high population and density of houses in Patna city, the situation of vehicle pollution is very weak which cannot be ignored.
The concept of economic and social development through environmental balance is absolutely necessary for a developing country like India. Where a large part of the country's annual budget is spent to remove environmental pollution and maintain environmental balance. Delhi is the most polluted city in our country. After this, the capitals of many states are also competing with each other in pollution. In Delhi, pollution has become a victim of poor central and state politics, Delhi administration and the central government are blaming each other for the environment and There are allegations and counterallegations on the pollution of Yamuna river, but measures to reduce pollution are sitting idle. Generally, the situation is similar at the international level also.
At present, there is a need for greater thinking that how will the concept of economic and social development arise from environmental balance? There is also deep thinking about the economic and environmental balance of different human species. There is a need for an open debate on this subject. Open debate also because environmental balance is as important for human life as is its economic development. Now, seeing the increasing threat of global warming, linking environmental balance with economic development is extremely important and necessary for the safety of human life.
While increasing uneven economic development and consumerist nature has widened the rift of social discrimination, it has also given rise to expansionism and colonialism at the global level. Giving priority to economic development and environmental balance over this huge level of discrimination at the national and international level is like connecting two different banks of a river. In the race of development, man gets tired of the busyness of life and wants to turn back towards nature.
The urban man is eager to breathe in the coolness, greenery and open free air of nature and imagines how sweet and freespirited the life in the village is, on the other hand, the people living in the rural forest areas imagine how life is in the city. There are facilities which make living very simple and easy. This bilateral longing is equal between the city dwellers and the residents of rural areas, we have to maintain their mutual balance and promote environmental balance along with economic development at an increasing pace.
Many countries in Europe have presented examples of this, where environmental protection has been given priority along with economic development. For this, we have to control consumerist culture and make citizens aware of environmental balance. At the technology level, we will need to focus on controlling environmentally friendly sources of energy, green technology, green buildings and carbon neutral vehicles. On the other hand, there will be a need to educate the tribals and the residents of rural areas with modern science along with indigenous knowledge.
Environment: Before setting up any project, there is a need to conduct environmental assessment and along with this, social impact assessment will also have to be done to see the impact on the society. To create this balance, there will be a need to formulate a policy for the future and we will also have to understand that development is not possible by destroying mountains, damming rivers and cutting forests. Environmental balance and development should not be kept only in the category of economic development but should be considered holistically. There will be a need to understand the social and environmental culture ethically.
To maintain this environmental and economic balance, we will have to ensure victory for every person of the proletariat in which no one is harmed and the common man is not left behind. Only if this concept is prevalent in any society and country, a balance between economic development and the environment can be established. In this context, Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi has also said, “Nature is there to fulfill our needs and not to satisfy the greed of man.” Along with the exploitation of innocent, pure nature, human society has also exploited it excessively.
Economic development cannot continue for long with the destruction of nature. The sooner humans, the country and the entire world community understand this, the better will be the auspicious signs for the development of economic and environmental balance. If we look at the present context of economic development, it seems very strange but true that when one community is sacrificed to benefit another community, plans for economic development are made somewhere, displaced people are somewhere else and electricity is supplied. And other facilities come from some other place, as a result of which many discrepancies arise in the economic and environmental balance, and this also increases the possibility of worsening of socioeconomic balance.
Even nature seems to be helpless in front of man's desires, wishes and greed. The inconsistencies and side effects we are facing in surrender to nature include water pollution, air pollution, increasing ozone hole, increasing climate change, melting glaciers and rising sea water, which are creating new problems for all of us. It seems that the very existence of our life is coming under threat due to our antinature actions. In many such situations, the option of combining new models of economic development with environmental balance to deal with such threats becomes a useful way of life for all of us. It is visible
The best example of exploiting the imbalance of nature is the developed countries of Europe, whose indifference towards environmental imbalance is paying a terrible price to the developing and bordering and less developed countries in the maritime areas. We need to collectively work towards creating environmental balance at the global level by economic development. Effective solutions have to be found to protect the entire world from global warming and its deep consequences, especially those underdeveloped and developing nations whose population is counted among the leading countries. Adequate economic resources are not available to develop a framework for environmental balance and economic development.
