Jalore. Sayla police station of Jalore district has seized 382 cartoons of illicit liquor, worth about Rs 23 lakh, from a dumper (Haywa) during the blockade on Tuesday. Police have arrested two accused, Sahiram Bishnoi, son of Kishan Lal and Pradeep Kumar Vishnoi, son of Manaram (33), resident of Siwana police station, Balotra, who were smuggling illegal liquor.
SP Gyan Chandra Yadav said that under the supervision of Additional Superintendent of Police Motaram Godara and CO Gautam Jain, under the supervision of Additional Superintendent of Police Motaram Godara and CO Gautam Jain, under the leadership of Police Station Officer Sayla Mahendra Singh, under the special campaign being run for action against illegal liquor smuggling and prevention of smuggling in the district, all Inspector Nimbi Singh May Jabta was conducting blockade and checking in Jeewana town.
Meanwhile, a dumper (Haywa) of Madhya Pradesh number was seen coming, which was stopped by the team. During investigation, when the activities of two persons traveling in the dumper seemed suspicious, the dumper was searched and a total of 382 cartoons of Rajasthan made English liquor were found in it. For illegally transporting the said liquor, both the accused Sahiram Bishnoi and Pradeep Kumar Bishnoi were arrested and a case was registered under the Excise Act.
The police are thoroughly interrogating both the accused in connection with the buying and selling of illegal liquor. The police have appealed to the general public to give information regarding illegal liquor smuggling on the WhatsApp helpline number of police control. Constables Ganpat Lal and Sawla Ram of Sayla police station played a special role in this action.
