Taking major action against illegal drugs, the special team of Barmer district and police station Kotwali raided a house in Shastri Nagar of the city and arrested two youths living on rent and recovered 987 grams of MD worth Rs 2 crore from the room. Drugs and 189 grams of opium milk have been recovered. Police also found 11 different number plates of twowheelers and fourwheelers and RCs of two vehicles from the room.
SP Narendra Singh Meena said that on the instructions of IG Jodhpur Range, instructions have been given to all the police station officers and the district special team to take action under “Operation Bhaukaal” which is being conducted for the seizure of illegal drugs. In this sequence, on the information of the informer, DST and Kotwali police raided the house of a person named Hemraj Soni in Shastri Nagar of the city.
The room of tenants Manohar Lal and Bharat Singh was searched in Hemraj Soni's house, in which 987 grams of MD drug and 189 grams of opium milk were found. Whose estimated cost is around Rs 2 crore. After seizing the drugs, the police arrested the accused tenant Manohar Lal Vishnoi, son of Sujana Ram (19), resident of Somardi police station, Sedwa, and Bharat Singh, son of Viradh Singh Rajput (27), resident of Dhandhalo, Dhani police station, Bakhasar.
SP Meena said that both the accused were involved in illegal drug smuggling by staying in a rented room for the purpose of studies. Who used to supply small quantities of goods from here onwards. During the search of the room, a small electric fork for measuring drugs, a large quantity of small plastic bags and pouches and the sale amount of Rs 7100 in cash, 11 number plates of different numbers of bike and four wheeler, two vehicles. RC and three switched off mobiles have also been recovered.
Meena told that two friends living together in the house, Ashok Vishnoi, son of Ramkishan and Pira Ram Vishnoi, son of Ramkishan, resident of Manki, used to supply illegal narcotics. Whereas the two main smugglers who supplied drugs to them are Dinesh Vishnoi, son of Babulal, resident of Rohila, East police station Dhorimana and Bhaumaram Vinoi, resident of Chitradi police station Bakhasar. Intensive research is being done regarding the role of landlord Hemraj Soni in the seizure of illegal drugs.
In this action, DST incharge Hanuman Ram, ASI Amin Khan, constable Hanuman Ram, Malaram, Narayan Ram, Sawai Singh, Dinesh Commando and Sandeep Commando, Sub Inspector Lichcharam from Kotwali police station, constable Ramchandra, Dinesh Kumar, Ratan Singh and constable driver Girdhar Singh were involved in this action. . Team member Constable Hanuman Ram played a special role, for whom proposals for special promotion will be sent.
