New Delhi. The Delhi Police Crime Branch has arrested a shooter and main gang member Faheem alias Badshah in the GTB Hospital murder case. The arrest was made during a series of interstate raids after the murder in July 2024.
Faheem was arrested after raids at various places in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Punjab. Actually, a person named Riyazuddin was murdered in GTB Hospital on July 14. Accused Faheem had plotted this murder from his Babarpur flat on the instructions of a notorious gangster.
Faheem had provided two illegal weapons and 19 rounds to the shooters for the murder. The Crime Branch's Eastern Range1 team arrested Faheem near the highway in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh on the basis of technical surveillance and manual intelligence.
In the year 2019, Faheem alias Badshah started working as a property dealer in Delhi. During this time, he came in contact with members of notorious gangs and got involved in petty crimes. In August 2023, he was arrested in a robbery case and spent about ten months in jail. After being released from jail, he again came in contact with his gang members and planned to kill Wasim, a member of the rival gang.
Let us tell you that Faheem and his associates planned to go to GTB Hospital for the murder, where they fired at Riyazuddin instead of Wasim. After this incident, Faheem and his associates kept hiding in different places to escape from the police. Riyazuddin was admitted to the hospital on June 23 for the treatment of stomach infection.
