BJP's membership campaign rested on the foundation of lies

BhaNowadays a membership campaign is being run at the national level by the Ratiya Janata Party. During this time, many big leaders of BJP including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Aditya Nath have become members or active members of the party. But once again this membership campaign of BJP has fallen into controversy. Through this membership campaign, BJP wants to prove that Bharatiya Janata Party is the largest political party in the world with the largest number of members. And to reach this goal, party leaders and workers are crossing all limits of lies and immorality. It is surprising that despite losing 63 Lok Sabha seats in the recent Lok Sabha elections, BJP is still trying to increase the number of its members on what basis? In fact, in many states, BJP is not able to meet its target set in the membership campaign. For this, its leaders and workers are trying to increase the number of members by any means by adopting all the tactics including price and punishment. For example, the target of making 2 crore members in Gujarat was set by the party.
Gujarat BJP has made a special plan under the membership campaign to get more members than last time. Everyone from Sarpanch to MP will form 100100 primary members. But it was not possible to reach this goal. According to a report, local leaders in Bhavnagar are also offering Rs 500 for adding 100 members because to meet the target of 2 crore by the scheduled date of October 15, more than 8 lakh members were required to be formed every day. The level to which BJP has gone to achieve this goal cannot even be imagined.
In many cities of Gujarat, even school children were given membership. Many people were made members of BJP without even informing them by just taking their phone numbers. These secrets came to light when many students and common people, who were unaware of their membership, started receiving 'congratulatory messages' on their mobile phones regarding becoming members of BJP. In Gujarat, not only school children and their parents were included as members but also hospital patients, rural employment guarantee workers in Narmada and a scheme by local party leaders to give Rs 500 to nominate 100 new members in Bhavnagar.
According to reports, when a woman along with her husband went to a public health center in Visnagar to get rabies injection, an employee asked for her mobile number and then asked for the OTP received on her mobile. And as soon as he shared the OTP, the patient received a congratulatory message for becoming a primary member of BJP. However, the husband of the woman patient objected to the public health center staff secretly making him a BJP member.
He recorded a video on his phone talking to the health center staff and Resident Medical Officer (RMO) about why he was nominated as a BJP member without informing them or giving them their consent. Vikumbh Darbar, the patient's husband, told local media after the incident that “This morning, my wife and I went to Visnagar Civil Hospital for antirabies injection as she was bitten by a dog. For the first time, we were asked to share an OTP to get the injection.
Initially, we were asked to check in at the register, and when we proceeded for the injection, the hospital staff asked for an OTP. I asked why this was required, to which he replied – 'If you want the injection, you will have to provide OTP.' When I questioned this rule, they claimed that it is a new civil hospital regulation.
Similarly, in Gujarat itself, a very serious case has come to light in Ranchod Das Trust Hospital of Junagadh, Rajkot. It is being told that 250 patients who had gone for cataract surgery in this hospital of Rajkot were woken up from their sleep at night and made members of BJP. This came to light when a patient made a video of this entire incident and posted it on social media. Kamlesh Bhai Thummar had gone to this hospital to get his eyes operated. Where more than 250 other patients were admitted along with him. According to Kamlesh, a person came at midnight and suddenly woke up all the patients from their sleep and started asking for OTP.
Asked me (Kamlesh Bhai) also OTP. When I sent the OTP, a message came on the phone that 'Congratulations, you have become a member of BJP'. When Kamlesh Thummar saw the message and asked the person whether you are making him a member of BJP? Then he replied- 'Without this there is no salvation'. If a patient did not know the OTP, the employee himself would take over the patient's phone and make him a member of the BJP. This employee made 200 to 250 patients of the ward members of BJP.
It would not be wrong to say that the hospital must have been complicit in this campaign of forcibly making BJP members. Similarly, there is news of forceful membership campaign being conducted in Madhya Pradesh also. Here too, there is news of youth being given offers ranging from Rs 3000 to Rs 5000 to join the membership campaign and make new members. Bharatiya Janata Party is bent on making government employees, students, Anganwadi workers, beneficiary sisters, those receiving free ration, those taking benefits of all government schemes etc. as party members forcibly or fraudulently.
The extent is such that BJP is now not allowing even the sleeping patients to sleep peacefully in the middle of the night. That means treatment and operation will continue later also, take rest later, first give the OTP received on your mobile. More such reports from across the country are enough to conclude that the BJP's membership campaign is actually based on lies.
