Bharatpur. Police have arrested another accused Vishnu Thakur son of Mukesh (25), resident of Khubchand, Pura police station Kanchanpur district Dholpur, in the case of robbery in broad daylight at PNB Bank located in Rico area of Udyog Nagar police station in Bharatpur on January 12.
SP Mridul Kachhawa said that on January 12, 2024, at around 12:30 pm, three masked miscreants reached the Punjab National Bank in the Rico area, opened fire, threatened the staff and looted Rs 24,380 from the cash counter and ran away. On the report of branch manager Ankush Mittal, a case was registered and investigation was started.
SP Kachhawa said that on the basis of CCTV footage, evidence found at the spot, other technical evidence and intelligence collection by the team formed under the leadership of SHO Hanuman Sahay, two accused of the incident, Ajit Thakur and Kalyan Singh, were arrested on October 16 and Kalla alias Karuva on October 20. alias Laxman was arrested.
Accused Vishnu Thakur and Rohitas alias Nanu were absconding in the case. A reward of Rs 10,000 each was announced for their arrest. Under the supervision of Additional Superintendent of Police Satish Yadav and CO Akanksha, the team along with SHO Hanuman Sahay collected intelligence and arrested one accused Vishnu Thakur with technical help.
