Chhabra police station of Baran district arrested 6 miscreants who were planning to commit a robbery at gunpoint in a jewelery shop of the town by sitting in an abandoned house in the area and stole three bikes, an illegal revolver, two cartridges, a Gupti, a fanatic, a knife, 200 grams of red chilli powder and a mask have been seized. Five accused are residents of Chhabra police station and one of Pali Baran police station.
SP Rajkumar Chaudhary said that the accused Laxman Meena son of Battu Lal alias Batya (22) and Surjamal alias Surjya Meena son of Ramcharan (39) resident of Kakarwa, Balveer alias Ballu Sansi son of Hakam Singh (50) resident of Ganpati Nagar, Bhagwan Singh alias Deepak Prajapat son of Siyacharan (20) resident of village May police station Rampura district Jalaun Uttar Pradesh hall Gharnavada intersection Chhabda, Rohit Sansi son of Chandu (20) resident of Lakshmipura and Kuldeep Meena alias KD Meena son of Morpal (22) resident of Nanukhedi police station Pali have been arrested.
Accused Laxman Meena had a revolver and two live cartridges, Balveer had an iron gun, Bhagwan Singh had 200 grams of red chilli powder, Suraj Mal had black cloth for mask, Kuldeep Meena had an iron stick and Rampuri knife and three stolen bikes were seized from Rohit Sansi.
SP Chaudhary said that under the supervision of Additional Superintendent of Police Rajesh Chaudhary and CO Vikas Kumar, a campaign is being run to prevent criminals and crimes involved in criminal activities. In the same sequence, on Sunday, SHO Chhabra Rajesh Kumar Khatana got information from the informer that some miscreants were hiding with weapons in an abandoned house of Housing Board Colony, Richhada.
On receiving the information, the SHO along with the team reached the house mentioned by the informer in a subdued manner. Some people inside were planning to rob a big jewelery shop in the town. Three bikes including two without number were parked nearby. Police surrounded the house from all sides, detained all the six miscreants sitting inside and seized illegal weapons and three bikes parked there. Which the accused said was theft.
On this, all the accused were arrested and a case was registered under various sections of BNS and Arms Act. The accused will be produced in the court and taken on remand. In remand, the police will interrogate him about other people involved in his gang and other incidents. Due to the vigilance of the police station, a serious incident taking place in the town could be foiled.
