Testing of the updated Royal Enfield Hunter 350 and Interceptor 650: On the road with new technology


New Delhi. Royal Enfield, known for its iconic motorcycles, has revealed some exciting features while testing its newly updated modelsHunter 350 and Interceptor 650. With the technological improvements and stunning design of these new motorcycles, the company is taking steps towards providing a better experience to its customers.

Hunter 350: New look and suspension

The updated Hunter 350 adds an LED headlight setup, which will replace the existing halogen unit. This new feature will not only give the bike a stylish look but will also make riding safe at night. Additionally, the Hunter 350 will also get a tweaked rear suspension setup, which will further improve the riding quality. However, no major changes have been made to the design; It will be powered by a 349cc singlecylinder, aircooled engine, which will generate 20.2 bhp and 27 Nm of torque, and will be mated to a fivespeed gearbox.

Interceptor 650: New technology and style

The most notable update on the test model of the Interceptor 650 is the addition of twin front disc brakes, which further enhances safety. Additionally, the new instrument cluster features a single, compact pod in place of the traditional twin analog dials also seen on the new Himalayan model. The gascharged suspension setup with conventional twin shocks at the rear of the motorcycle has further enhanced the riding experience.

Interceptor 650 will get a 649cc paralleltwin engine, which produces 47 bhp and 52.3 Nm of torque. It also includes round LED taillights and LED indicators, which further add to its overall looks.

Pricing and Expectations

Currently, the Interceptor 650 is priced between Rs 3.03 lakh to Rs 3.31 lakh (exshowroom, Chennai), while the Hunter 350 is priced between Rs 1.50 lakh to Rs 1.75 lakh (exshowroom, Chennai). Royal Enfield is planning to make these motorcycles more attractive by adding new color options to its color palette.

These new offerings from Royal Enfield show that the company is emphasizing on innovation keeping in mind the needs of its customers. The new features seen during testing of both these models will not only improve the riding experience but will also increase their appeal. With their launch in the coming months, bike lovers are expected to get a new riding experience.
