Mumbai . Tata Motors on Monday announced that it has received an order from Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) for the supply of 1,000 units of 'Tata LPO 1618' diesel bus chassis.
This order follows the successful completion of the order for 1,350 bus chassis received last year, which are currently being efficiently run by UPSRTC.
Designed for safe intercity and long distance travel, the 'Tata LPO 1618' diesel bus chassis is comfortable for passengers with low total cost of ownership (TCO) and has excellent performance, the automaker said.
Anand S., Vice President and Head of Commercial Passenger Vehicle Business, Tata Motors. said, “'Tata LPO 1618' bus chassis is engineered to provide robust and reliable mobility with high uptime and low maintenance and operating costs. We look forward to starting the supplies as per the guidance of UPSRTC.”
The company said the bus chassis will be supplied in a phased manner as per mutually agreed terms.
