Seoul. South Korean tech company Naver on Monday announced that it will incorporate its selfdeveloped artificial intelligence (AI) technology into its core services, such as a search platform and shopping application.
Naver unveiled its “onservice AI” plan at a tech conference called ‘DAEN24’. Under this plan, the company will include its AI model Hyperclova X in its search engine, which will provide personalized and accurate answers to users' questions. In addition, the company will also launch a new AI briefing function next year, which will summarize users' questions and provide reliable information.
The service will initially be available in Korean, English and Japanese when it launches. Choi Sooyeon, CI of Never, said, “We introduced Hyperclova To make it easier.”
In the first half, Never will also launch 'Never Plus Store', an AI shopping application that will help users find products and promotions according to their needs. Along with this, the company will also add 'Geospatial AI' technology to its mobile map application next year, which will provide users with offline location and accurate location information in digital form.
Additionally, Naver plans to create an 'Impact Fund' and invest 1 trillion won over the next six years to develop AI in the country.
