The vehicle fair 'Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025' was completed on Wednesday. About 200 products were offered in this exhibition. More than 1,500 companies participated in this exhibition jointly organized at Bharat Mandapam and Yashobhoomi and Expo Mart of Greater Noida from January 17 to January 22 in the national capital.
Organizers said that more than eight lakh people turned up to view the new and existing products displayed in the vehicle, component and technology sections. Encouraged by the strong support received by this event, the government is now considering the possibility of organizing it annually. Till now this exhibition is organized once in 2 years.
Rajesh Aggarwal, additional secretary in the commerce department, said, we saw the unveiling of more than 200 products during the expo, which is a record in itself. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had inaugurated the expo on January 17 at Bharat Mandapam in the presence of Union Ministers Nitin Gadkari, HD Kumaraswamy, Jitan Ram Manjhi, Manohar Lal, Piyush Goyal and Hardeep Singh Puri along with leading businessmen of the auto sector. Electric vehicles (EVs) grabbed a lot of headlines during the vehicle exhibition held at Bharat Mandapam. Passenger vehicle market leaders Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai Motor India have expressed their intention to play a bigger role in this new vehicle segment by launching their EV products.
Rajesh Menon, director general of SIAM, said the auto show saw the largest ever participation from companies focusing on sustainable transportation. He said the event demonstrated the industry's focus on sustainable transportation. Aggarwal said that suggestions will be taken from the auto industry and other parties to make the Bharat Mobility Global Expo an annual event.
“We would love to organize it (annually), but we will be open to suggestions and discussions from everyone. What we really want to do is create a larger value base,” he said. Aggarwal said that a lot of hard work and money is spent in organizing this event, hence there is a need for a clear value proposition. In such a situation, it cannot be committed that this will happen annually or once in two years. He said that all parties will be consulted in this regard. Aggarwal said that the government is emphasizing on organizing more global events in the country.
