Greater Noida. JCB India CEO and Managing Director Deepak Shetty had a special conversation with on Sunday. He said that JCB is very excited about the Indian market.
Deepak Shetty, CEO and Managing Director, JCB India, said, “JCB is very bullish about the Indian market. We have seen growth of more than 12 per cent year on year. The government's focus is on the infrastructure market. We have seen the government's growth year on year. We have seen investment not only in roads, highways, railways, housing, water tap scheme, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana but also in the development of infrastructure in the entire region. We believe that the focus of the governments will continue in future also.”
Referring to JCB's growing demand, he said, “JCB is looking at options in a number of ways, one way is to look at the diesel engine itself. How can we improve the efficiency of the engine. As we look at 10 15 per cent, so we are putting more money in the customer's pocket. You can see in front of you that this is Asia's first hydrogen backloader, so we are looking at technology and infrastructure for this new fuel. Are ready with. Whether it is hydrogen or Electric, because 65 per cent of the machines operate in rural areas. So once the infrastructure is ready, JCB also has the technology to support the machines with alternative technology.”
Deepak Shetty said, “We are very excited about Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of the 'Developed India' project. Over the last 45 years, JCB has supplied machines to build great infrastructure across the country. Developed India Project JCB's vision is to develop Indian capabilities to supply machines and products not only to Indian customers but to the entire world and JCB is a great example of this.”
On the question of national clean energy and environment policy, he said, “We work closely with the government and sometimes it is not about the talk, but about our work.”
Talking about JCB's roadmap, Deepak Shetty said, “We have technology like 19 products which we are selling in Europe and when power infrastructure is required in rural areas and customers demand it, JCB will provide this technology. Will be ready to do it.”
On the question of new innovations in JCB, he said, “I think JCB is different from its competitor. We always focus on innovation and every year come up with machines, new products, which meet the changing expectations of Indian customers. We do.”
