Google Photos for Android could soon be updated with a new feature that will allow users to quickly edit their videos. The feature is currently unavailable to users and was found hidden within the app. These video presets reportedly contain four new tools that allow users to make specific edits to the entire video or a specific portion. These presets are currently under development and could be rolled out to users in the future, according to a report. Notably, an earlier report claimed that Google Photos could add a feature to block a person’s face in the app.
Google Photos may soon have a video presets feature
Android Authority has spotted a new feature in Google Photos version 6.97 that is currently hidden, meaning users won’t be able to access it even if that version of the app is installed on their smartphone. The feature is said to be located within Google Photos version 6.97. Edit Option. The new Program The banner reportedly contains four options: Basic Cut, Slow Motion, Zoom, and Tracking.
Each of these options is said to add a preset edit to the video. Users are reportedly given the option to apply the preset to the entire video or a portion of the video by selecting the duration and slides. Additionally, more than one preset can also be added to the same slide. However, video files are said to not be exported if more than two edits are placed.
The Basic Cut preset is said to crop the key moment and enhance colors. Slow Mo is said to add a slow-motion effect to selected frames of the video. Zoom, as the name suggests, zooms in and out of the selected area and can be useful for highlighting a distant object. Lastly, Track is said to automatically track and zoom in on the main subject of the video.
However, it should be noted that this feature is within the app's code and may or may not be implemented by Google. Further details about the feature cannot be determined until it is officially pushed to users.
