This is the biggest price increase since the tech billionaire acquired the social media platform (formerly known as Twitter) in 2022.
There has been no change in the basic tier subscription rate of Rs 243 and premium tier Rs 650 in India.
In the US, the cost of Premium Plus service has increased from $16 to $22 per month. The annual membership cost has increased from $168 to $229.
According to the company, Premium Plus is now completely adfree, providing a better browsing experience.
