Gurugram. Haryana opener Yashvardhan Dalal created history by playing a record unbeaten inning of 426 runs against Mumbai in the Under23 CK Nayudu Trophy match on Saturday. He is the first batsman to score a quadruple century in the history of the tournament. He broke the record of Sameer Rizvi of Uttar Pradesh, who had played an excellent inning of 312 runs in the last season.
Mumbai won the toss and decided to bowl first at the Gurugram Cricket Ground in Sultanpur, Haryana. On the strength of Yashvardhan's brilliant innings, Haryana declared the innings at 742 runs for eight wickets on the third day on Sunday morning. Yashvardhan returned to the pavilion after scoring 426 runs unbeaten.
Yashvardhan, who scored four against Madhya Pradesh and 23 and 67 against Jharkhand in the last two matches, was sent to open in this match and he made a partnership of 410 runs for the first wicket with Arsh Ranga. Ranga also played an inning of 151 runs. Yashvardhan hit 46 fours and 12 sixes in 463 balls in his marathon innings. This is not the first time that this batsman from Jhajjar has attracted everyone's attention by playing a big innings. Yashvardhan played an innings of 237 runs in an Under16 league match in December 2021. In that match, Haryana had scored 452 runs in 40 overs.
