Days after a video showed former Indian batsman Vinod Kambli struggling to walk due to health issues, a new clip has emerged in which he describes him as “fit and fine”. The latest video is reportedly of Kambli’s meeting with his schoolmate Ricky Couto and first-class umpire Marcus Couto. In the video, Kambli added that he is doing well. The video comes as a huge relief to Kambli’s supporters, however, Agency could not independently verify the authenticity of both videos.

“I am fine,” Kambli said in the latest video while giving a thumbs-up gesture. “By the grace of God, I am surviving. I am fit and fine. I am ready to bat at No. 3 (jokingly). I will hit the bowlers off the ground like we used to play at Shivaji Park!” he added.

Vinod Kambli's earlier video had left social media users in shock. In the video, Kambli is seen struggling to walk properly as people had to provide him support and pull him off the road safely. Kambli looked a little disoriented and was finding it quite difficult to find his balance. While some social media users speculated that he was drunk in the video, many others said that he has been physically ill for some time now and his deteriorating health resulted in his inability to move properly.

Kambli has played over 100 ODIs for India and 17 Test matches. The talented left-hander has scored nearly 10,000 runs in first-class cricket with a best individual score of 262.
