UT Cricket Association, Delhi Challengers and BPCL win in the 29th All India JP Atre Cricket Tournament


Chandigarh. UT Cricket Association, Chandigarh defeated Baroda Cricket Association by 7 runs in the league matches of the 29th All India JP Atre Cricket Tournament played at Mahajan Cricket Ground, Chandigarh on Tuesday.

UT Cricket Association batted first and scored 226 runs in 48 overs. Shivam Bhambri played a brilliant innings of 92 runs and was declared Man of the Match. Captain Manan Vohra scored 28 runs, Arshlan Khan and Gaurav Puri scored 25-25 runs and Bhagminder Lather scored 22 runs. Baroda Cricket Association bowlers Manan Solanki took 5 wickets, Jai Abhale took 3 wickets, while Mohit Mongia and Jatin Rana took 1-1 wickets.

Baroda Cricket Association was all out for 219 runs in 49.1 overs in reply. Parth Kohli scored an unbeaten 102, Manan Solanki scored 33, Pratyush Kumar scored 23 and Mohit Mongia scored 17. Bhagminder Lather and RSJ Angad Bawa took 3-3 wickets for UT Cricket Association.

In the second match of the day played at TDL Cricket Stadium, BPCL defeated Minerva Academy by a huge margin of 173 runs. BPCL's Gitansh Kheda played a brilliant innings of 159 runs and became the Man of the Match. Batting first, BPCL scored 347 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 50 overs. Minerva Academy was all out for 174 runs in 32.2 overs.

In the third match of the day played at PCA Stadium, Mohali, Delhi Challengers defeated Punjab Cricket Club by 2 wickets. BPCL's Lalit Yadav won the Man of the Match award by scoring unbeaten 89 runs and taking 3 wickets. Punjab Cricket Club batted first and scored 302 runs in 50 overs. Delhi Challengers won the match by scoring 305 runs in 49.3 overs.

On Wednesday, Bihar Players-11 will take on Sony Cricket Club at TDL Cricket Stadium, Panchkula and the second match will be played between Jammu Kashmir Cricket Association and BPCL at Mullanpur PCA Cricket Stadium.
